Multi50

Multi50: an exciting class

The Multi50 class is changing. With professionalisation of the teams and more modern design of the boats, the class turned a corner in 2016. Increasingly attractive for skippers and their sponsors, the Multi50 class has updated its measurement rule, which now allows foils. Its fleet has refocused on high-performance boats while keeping budgets under control. Thus, seven Multi50s have announced they will compete in the Transat Jacques Vabre 2017, including two new boats. This year, new sponsors and skippers joined a fleet, which is now the only class of ocean multihulls accessible to SMEs (small and medium-sized businesses).
